International Rankings - 2007 Playoff Rules & Scoring

GENERAL RULES

Only invited teams are eligible to participate. The top ranked team of each league that makes a qualifying donation (prior to week 10) of at least 50 cents per team in said league will automatically be invited, regardless of standing in the rankings. The top 10 teams, plus any undefeated, untied teams in the rankings will also automatically qualify. Other teams will be invited until all 64 spots are filled in the bracket. In the case of more than 64 eligible teams (based on donating leagues and top 10), all eligible invited teams that accept will be included. A team that is not eligible by the above definitions but receives an invitation later (to attempt to fill the entire 64 team bracket) will be allowed to participate on a first-accepted, first-included basis only until the bracket is full.

LINE-UPS

Lineups are due 30 minutes before the first kickoff of that week, unless I grant an extension.  Generally on Thursday games lineups do not need to be in until halftime of the Thursday night game. Use the lineup submission form (preferred) or E-mail lineups to matt@javmar.com

One Quarterback (1) QB
Two Running Backs (2) RB

Factor and Handicap Points

FACTORING and HANDICAPPING SYSTEM

It would not be fair to give a team that comes from a 6 person draft pool an advantage over a
team that came from a larger drafting pool.

Teams are awarded points based on the size of there drafting pool
called factor points.

FACTOR POINTS

# of Teams in Draft Pool Added Factor Points
6 0
7 1
8 2
9 3
10 4
11 5
12 6
13 7
14 8
15 9
16 Plus 10

EXAMPLE: Alaska Oilspill came from a league with 11 teams in the
drafting pool.

11 Teams is Equal = 5 Factor Points

Teams are awarded points based on a handicapping system, that is based
on several complex factors but is awarded by the size of the of the
teams drafting pool.

HANDICAP POINTS:

# of Teams in Draft Pool Handicap Factor
6 .0000
7 .002311
8 .003679
9 .011318
10 .015913
11 .020298
12 .02326
13 .02592
14 .028236
15 .031663
16 .034251

In order to figure your Handicap Score take your Total Score before
adding the Factor Points and multiply it by the Handicap Factor.

EXAMPLE: Alaska Oilspill Scored 53.25 Total Points and came from and
league with 11 teams in the drafting pool.

53.25 x .020298 = 1.08 (Standard Rounding Method)

1.08 in the Handicap Score

Therefore the Score for the Alaska Oilspill would be:

Total Score 53.25
Factor Points: 5.00
Hdcp Score: 1.08
Total Score 59.33
